Foodnet is an international frozen food trading and production company based in Amersham, UK. They have established trade routes all over the world, from the Mediterranean to the Far East and from Central America to mainland Europe. Famous for being the first company to package the tri-colour selection of peppers found in just about every supermaket today - the company has since grown to become a market leader in its industry.
Foodnet's existing website was out of date and simply did not represent the organisation behind it. In search of a local design agency to work with, Foodnet approached Broadgate to help develop a strategy to take their online marketing presence forward with an aim to outpace their competitors and impress their customers.
Our solution was to offer a design which coupled the company's existing branding style, logo and colours with an attractive, logical and functional layout. The homepage was seen as the hub of the site, with a modular sidebar of widgets containing a site translation menu, news and social media feeds and a weather data link. Responsive web development was used to ensure the site vewing experience was perfect on a wide range of devices and displays.
Our bespoke Content Management System was utilised to control the site content. The foodnet website also operates like an e-commerce shop albeit without a payment proceedure. The business's complete catalogue archive of produce is easily accesible using the 'live search' function and product sample orders can be added via the shopping cart and order form.
