How we help

Blackwell approached us with a need to recruit vehicle operators at a time when there were driver shortages across the country.

The initial brief was to design a campaign that would reach a wide audience of potential candidates. The only essential requirement was a driving license. We created a series of campaigns that targeted regions around the operating sites for the roles. In a typically male dominated environment, there was also an aim to encourage more women to apply.

We instructed an independent media buying agency to handle the placement of the campaign materials across newspapers, digital billboards and at various targeted locations such as motorway service stations.

The initial requirement was to recruit around 50 drivers within 2 months of advertising with the campaign going live in early January 2022. The results were impressive with over 1,200 applications received directly via the campaign in just a few weeks. Blackwell were able to fill all vacancies within the timeframe required – the majority of the applications coming from one very successful media placement.

Photoshoot

We arranged a site visit to the HS2 construction sites near Great Missenden in Buckinghamshire to capture Blackwell vehicles and drivers in operation for the campaigns and use elsewhere within the organisation.

Ad placement

We placed adverts in specific locations for the campaign along with a maildrop covering over 50,000 homes in Aylesbury Vale. QR codes were used to directly link applicants to an application landing page.

Beyond the campaigns

We continue to work with Hargreaves Services plc on a range of requirements which have included exhibition stands and marketing collateral such as brochures and other digital and printed materials.

“The response from this campaign has been amazing and continues to be, which is excellent news. Thank you for all your support with this. ”
